Brand new Enviro 200 MMC's for Winchester

This week, the team at SouthernEnglandBusScene received news of Stagecoach's Winchester depot awaiting delivery of a number of brand new Enviro 200 MMC's (Major Model Change). These buses will have fleet numbers ranging from 37406-37423. A full fleet list can be found at the end of this post.

The 18 Enviro 200 MMC's have been ordered to replace older single decker buses operating local routes in the Winchester area.

The Enviro 200 MMC was unveiled by Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) in November 2014, at the Euro Bus Exhibition 2014, at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC).

 It's features include

• 8.9m - 11.8m low floor midi buses
• 32 - 46 seats
• 13.2t - 14.4t GVW
• 4/6 cylinder Euro6 engines

The bus is lighter, more fuel efficient, and carries many more passengers than the original Enviro 200 does. It shares many of the same technologies and features as the Enviro 400 MMC double decker bus through a partnership of ADL's world-leading team of designers, engineers and specialist suppliers from all across the globe.
